Tcs bolt with stud

Has anyone purchased this TCS bolt w/stud from the Parts Place? I was wondering if it is correct for the 1970 455 intakes. Thanks

The original Olds factory studs are 3/8" threads on BOTH ends. Can't tell from TPP's auction pic if theirs is 3/8 on both ends OR if the shorter upper part is 5/16" and they don't say anything about thread size in the text/description. It may be an optical illusion but it almost looks like the upper part thread size is one step smaller compared to the bottom part (5/16 and 3/8).

AMK Products shows a correct sized stud that is 3/8 on both ends...their PN is 11043 and it's $5 but they have a $30 minimum on orders. Theirs is plated in clear zinc (silver) but that can be stripped off and replated in phosphate, etc for a aluminum intake W car or painted over on a cast iron intake car. I just measured an original and it's the same dimensions as the AMK piece.

Here's a pic of an original stud:

The more I stare at the pic in the TPP ebay auction, the more I think that it's not an optical illusion....the upper part sure looks like 5/16" instead of the factory 3/8 size. I even held a dial caliper up against the screen and compared the two ends.

The part you all are missing is that when an ad says "for GM cars" that's code for Chevy. Kind of like when an ad says that a part fits a "GM 350".
