Sunday Puzzler: What's wrong with this picture?
I was over at my old man's house a couple of weeks ago and climbed up into the loft of his garage, as he's trying to "clean up" (Ha!).
This is what I saw.

BINGO.
That's the thing I noticed.
I know I took 2 heads off that motor 15 years ago,
I know that my father (who is 70, has a bad back, and doesn't own an Olds) didn't climb up the ladder and take one down,
I know that I looked all over the garage and the shed, and could see no sign of an Olds head anywhere,
so, WHERE DID MY OTHER HEAD GO?
It's a downright spooky mystery (smooth Hallowe'en tie-in...).
Bloody weird.
Anybody else ever experience vanishing iron?
Oh, there's one other "one of these things is not like the others" detail here, but Citcapp nailed the point I wanted to make.
Sorry guys, it's a C.

It'd be nice to have two...

That's the annoying part.
I can remember in meticulous detail the car, the problem, the disassembly, the 2 shattered pistons (car had sat for ten years, since the early eighties, at which time it had been run for a long time on regular gas, then I'd bought it and put a few thousand miles on it before it started blowing smoke out the breather), and the decision to junk it (it was unsellable as it sat, and I hadn't wanted it in the first place - I'd bought it for a friend to replace his CRX , then he told me he didn't want something so big - go figure), and the stripping of the goodies. I can remember how the interior smelled like mold, and how the back seat was the size of a double bed if you moved the front seat forward (C-body, long wheelbase).
The one thing I can't remember is where the @#*$! I put the &*%%$#! head.
I know the surest way to make it turn up, though, is to simply buy another...

Now that's a fact. It's the same reason why I am the proud owner of at least a dozen #2 Philips head screwdrivers and other multiplicated items. Hum is that even a word
