Steering box I.D. and rebuild info

So I have everything apart and documenting everything as far as parts and numbers with pictures etc....
Looking at the steering box, there are some numbers I was curious about and looking for education and help in decoding and rebuild recommendations.
The car is a 1970 442 w-30 and I want to know if this is the correct box and how to I.D. (part I.D. , casting#, date code) and ratio. Any of you gurus feel free to chime in.

I'll shoot holes this one. Just had mine rebuilt along with the pump. I did some research. I couldn't match all the part component numbers on mine(68 442).

The upper right-hand pic, on the flat area adjacent the adjusting nut, is the overall manufacturer date of the box.

3369 which I believe is the 336th day of 1969. (Dec 2, 1969)

The upper left pic I believe is the covers individual part number.

In the lower left pic, 322 is the 322nd day (Nov 18th of 69). That makes sense as the box was cast 2 weeks before final assembly. I believe the 9 below the 322 indicates 1969. The 5691676 I believe is the part number for the main casting.

Not sure on the round plug 7806688? Might be the plugs PN as well?

Was your car built after the 336th day of 1969 by say at least two weeks? So last two weeks of December 69 or the first part of January 70? If so then Id say its correct for your 70 442.

Fusick has the correct hoses.

If your rag joint cleans up and its still soft like mine was you can reuse it.

If you need a source for the 3 bolts that mount the box to the frame check out this link. They are an exact match.

If you need a rebuild service check out this link. He will do the quick ratio conversion and high detail work for a slight upcharge (well worth it). Ask for Marty.

Thanks for the input that helps.
My car being a 70 built first week in DEC and the pump being 336 day of 69, does that seem normal?
How do you I.D. quick ratio steering?

In theory, yes, this should still work. The boxes final assembly date of Dec 2 means the car had ~3 days to be built. With the way things were movin and groovin in the auto industry in the late 60s I day you are fine as far as this box being the numbers correct part for the car. This shows you they were literally going from component completion to final assembly in a very short time. Nothing sat on the shelf.

The quick ratio I was referring to is an internal modification Marty will perform(or other builders). You get a new worm gear set which takes it from OEM to 13.2:1. Nobody but you will know this was done. It's a good improvement. It's not as drastic as the Jeep Grand Cherokee box swap but I wanted the factory look and to retain the "as born with parts" as mine is 98% correct down to the hose clamps.
