my rubber boot,(top boot) keeps splitting at the square hole where the shifter stalk goes through,
ive replace this part about 3 times over the last 10 years.
i just received a new one and the hole actually doesn’t seem large enough, and maybe that is why it is splitting.
I measured the shifter stalk and it is1” by 3/8.
the 3/8 is fine on new boot but the hole in boot has only 3/4 inch.
Anyway,trying to figure why they keep splitting.
Anybody else have this problem. or have a vendor suggestion.
