Olds 260

hello i have an olds 260 v8 with a 307 intake...i was curious if anyone knows if itll bolt up to a turbo 350 trans???

Yes it will.

Are you bolting it to a transmission to make it heavier, so it will serve as a better boat anchor?

A 260 will run, but that's about it.

Not known around here of being the engine of choice

ok thanks....trans went and i have a turbo 350 outta a parts car...i have a 350 but i have to put the heads on and all that **** to get it ready to drop in...can any of the stuff off the 260 such as water pump, starter, fly wheel, pullies etc be put on the 350 or they wont match??

Never thought much about a 260, but think it uses the BOP bolt pattern like other SBO. Should work unless your TH350 has the Chevy mount.

Every single Olds V8 from 1964-1990 has exactly the same bellhousing bolt pattern.

nice thanks guys...i have to see if the TH350 has a BOP or chevy...it was bolted up to a chevy straight 6 from a nova so well see....

In that case it has a Chebby pattern.

The only way it will work is if it is one of the relatively rare dual-patterns.

There are adapters, but TH350s are kind of a dime a dozen, and there's not a lot of torque behind a 260, so you might do better just getting a junkyard BOP model.

ok cool....i also have another trans from a parts car thats BOP and has C4 on the top...unsure of what kind it is have to look at the pan bolt pattern
