the newest addition to the shop...

Sun SASC-1600 Alternator Service Center model SASC-1600

pix of an identical unit at the bottom of this page: http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/auc...3Fauc%3D861672
mine came with a VAT-28, not a VAT-40 like the pix show. i have 3 VAT-40s, so i'll just swap the VAT-28 out. my SASC-1600 is in as good condition as the one in the pix... only $400 for it. the SASC-1600 will reside next to the Sun DT-504 Distributor Tester, in the basement shop.

I like this old test gear. At one time, this was state of the art and professional. I have an interest in it. Might be a way to play...and pay in the hobby as one gets near retirement.

Exercise that market.

"Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life. " Good luck Bill.

Nice score Bill!
Another piece saved from the crusher, I recall working in a auto/electric service shop in the early 80's and we dreamed of getting one of the Sun units...Ahh the good old days.

Merry Christmas to all
