Never seen this option before, 1970 Cutlass trailer hitch wiring.

I'd bet I've overlooked this option before but this is the first time I've paid enough attention to actually recognize what this was. I recently stripped & scrapped a '70 Cutlass convertible body tub & debated pulling the rear light harness. I have a whole box of these but most have an issue or two so I said what the heck, I'll pull this one too. As I was removing it I saw some unfamiliar wires & said to my self Oh, someone installed an aftermarket trailer hitch wiring harness. But when I got to really looking at it, I'm sure it is a factory piece as the wires & connectors are original to the car. Not a huge deal I know but after playing with hundreds of Cutlasses I don't see much "new" stuff anymore. It has one cut blue wire at the plug end and I don't know what that would go to, maybe trailer brakes??? Any way here are pix of said harness.

My dads old 71 supreme convertible had a trailer hitch on it, but the wiring was noticeably less professional than factory.

RPO U89, Wiring Harness, Trailer Electrical. Yes, blue is usually for trailer brakes.
