Moon Eyes Japan Car Show
Well, I just happened to be working in Yokohama again this year so I got to attend the 2012 Moon Eyes Car Show in Yokohama, Japan. Here are some pics.

They have a lot of cars over here that would not be considered "desierable" in the States, How about the Farah Fawcett painting on the scoop of the Mopar, too funny! I wonder if the interior in the wagon was factory? Beeeeuuuttifuuul!

Wow, nice to see so much American iron over there in Japan...
Must be pretty rare to see on a daily basis there.
So do the Japanese in general like old American cars a lot?
Reason I ask is when i was driving Lady home from South Carolina, I made a stop in The Smokey Mountains National park and walked up to an obvervation tower. When I came down and walked back to the car, she was surrounded by about 20 Japanese tourists who had just gotten off a tour bus. I was ready to move on, but I waited for them to get their pictures with them and even me in there, too. Had to try to answer questions, too. They really liked her and some said they had never seen one like that.
Nice memories indeed...

The Japanese love old American cars but they are priced WWWWAAAAAYYYY out of almost anyones reach. A ten grand car in the States would cost about 25 grand over here minimum. As far as the cars being here, up here near Tokyo there are a lot, down where I live (Southern Japan) not so much. Every once in a blue moon I see something in Sasebo like a Caddy.

It's funny because if you look at some of the pictures you will notice that some of the cars have red stripes on their plates, those are temporary tags (the Edsel for example.) The guys only tag the car when they want to take it to a show so they don't have to pay all of the road and weight tax on the car that would be due if they were permanently tagged.
