Lightbulb Mixture control question on ECM controlled carb?

Had the air horn off my '83 Q-jet to replace the TPS and was looking at some of the parts. The mixture control plunger looked a little odd, is it supposed to be bent like that? I couldn't get it to bend with my fingers so I'm thinking that's the way it's supposed to be.. but it doesn't look like it is in the manual or the replacements sold. The carb worked ok before other than the TPS being defective. Just wanted to check before I reassembled.

None of the ones I've ever seen have been bent like that. Of course, so long as the solenoid stop is set properly, there isn't an issue.

Hmm thought something was weird with that. Only issues I had were it throwing a code 21 for the TPS which I just replaced, and it stumbling on take off, nearly stalling if you gave it too much gas. I'm going to see if replacing the TPS fixes that, if not I'm going to have the whole thing rebuilt.

Well I took a straight one out of a parts carb I had and put it back together, definitely was messed up for some reason. Still don't know if I did it or if it was like that and the car actually ran..
