Good to hang out today with a couple of old buddies from here, Darryl (OLD SKL 69) and Rob (Beob). Darryl, the car looked awesome...Rob, nice to see the 442 back on the road, it looked great! Nice to see Michelle too! Was also good to see a couple of friends pick up first place trophies ! My friend Bobby picked up a first with his beautiful '68 442 Triple Blue convertible! My other friend picked up a first place with his highly customized '67 Quadruple Blue convertible 442! Unfortunately, they put him in the class with all stock and beautiful 442's, so we felt bad for those guys. He should have been in a customized class. By the way, if anyone saw the car, let me know what you thought of the paint job.....

Thanks for the kind words and posting pics of my car. It's actually a deep blue exterior,a lot of people think it's black. Sorry I didn't get to see you today.

Yes the paintwork was beautiful on the car! You are right though it was a sin they had that car in that class. Looks like they had a few issues with classifying the cars because they also had a W31 in the cutlass class when it should have been with the 442 and W performance car class...

You do body work? Or can you recommend me a good body shop?

You live in Brooklyn as I can see by your avatar. I will be out that way training a shop called Knights Collision. Although I wouldn't quite recommend them yet. If you are willing to travel east, I have a few hours shops I can vouch for. And yes, I do body and paint....only not for a living anymore....

That old beat up 1950 "Gregory's Speed Shop" is cool and different, wonder if that style is dry lake bed speed record? Looks like it to me. Wonder if that is a "tribute" to that or an historically accurate and true car.

I got bit again on this frustrating feature. I start a reply or think about it but use page up to re-view a certain photo while composing what I wish to comment on, then hit page down and start a reply, BUT it goes all the way down past the thread and into a "related thread" and I end up posting on the wrong thread. Grrrrrrrrr...
