Hurst dual-gate with 350 hydra-matic tranny
Can a Hurst dual-gate shifter be paired up with a Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 (M38)? If so, what are the risks?
Consider the engine is a 350 cid, 4bbl. Thanks.

The Hurst dual-gate was available as an option on the M38,(70-72) I believe the only difference is the shifter cable as compared to a non dual gate turbo 350 console equipped car. I am not sure if the turbo 400 equipped dual gates used the same cable as the 350 turbo cars.

Considering that the dual gate was factory available with the TH350, I'd have to say yes. The "risks" are that you have the wrong trans bracket or cable.

Thanks for the replies
A few months back forum member 'wmachine' graciously posted a list of 442 RPO Option Codes. It would be appreciated if someone could post a similar list for the 1970 Cutlass Supreme (convertible). I will disclaim I haven't referenced the Chassis Service Manual yet and will do so after this post. Thanks.
