Goodbye to the Camaro?

That's why it's sad. Say what you will about it, the Mustang is the car that started the whole ponycar thing. EV SUV is a sorry end to it.

I love gm — always will, but the newest Camaro did not compete with the challenger or mustang in looks and I feel that’s what drives most sales.
I thought I had a window sticker for this trailblazer I’m driving but I don’t. I wish I knew where the engine was made it’s the only part still going strong
Interior is falling apart. Transfer case sounds like a lunchbox full of broken glass and half dead cats. Transmission mostly shifts right. Ac sometimes thinks it is in limp mode
motor- runs great doesn’t shake miss or vibrate no faults we can tell

I’ve noticed when vehicles change, sometimes at first I hate them, but time moves on and I get used to them and eventually like or appreciate them.
The first of the big grill ram trucks were like that to me. Was it maybe 98 or 99 ? Anyhow. I haaaated them. But they grew on me and now I think overall they’re a good looking truck.
The new Camaros are what like 2010 till now ? They just never did anything for me. Just nothing.
Now. I’ve watched the zl1 get it on the Nurburgring and I’m impressed but it ends with the performance.

Dodge kicked Chevys azz with styling and power. The Elephant and Hellcats and Redeyes and Scat Packs were all unbeatable in styling. Shaker Hoods, graphics, spoilers. All awesome. Wanted a Scat Pack in the worst way. Looked into them and found a C5 instead. About half the money. These cars have to be the bargain of the decade. I bought a 99 with an M6, LS1, and a 3.42 posi. It tachs at 1900 rpm at 85 mph. Gets about 30 mpg on the highway. You can't beat that. Oh, and it will hang with a Scat Pack car. Ask me how I know! Topped out at 177 mph from the factory.

Meanwhile my 5 speed civic gets 30 on the hwy

Early eighties. I worked with a clown that had a 289 putzstang four speed. Talked so much **** about my 442. Rebuilt motor blah blah. I said F you so many times. My 442 was all original. I said one hundred dollars a gear. I beat his *** so bad I couldn't take his money.
You couldn't give me One putzstang that I wouldn't sell the next day. Not one. Seen one. Seen them all.

The Borg Warner six speed manual behind the LT-1 in the 90s Z-28s got impressive highway cruise. No one wants to design performance rigs that will get good mileage if driven right, they want econoboxes that will get good mileage at the expense of everything, including performance, enjoyment, longevity, quality, and more.

Of course our resident ignorant poster has no clue. Mustang still sells its performance pony cars. I also see your still so biased towards any other makes. Sad.

I was in a Ford dealer a year or two ago. I was looking at the latest GT500. I had read you could not order a new one with a stick. Blasphemy! I told the salesman about it and he couldn't believe it! Reminds me of when I went to order a new F-Body in 1993 I liked them so much. I knew more about the car than the salesman did there as well! I've owned several makes of cars. I just want to go fast! (except, no electrics, yet.)
