Fast n Furious
What kind of setup do you think they put in that GNX to drive it all crazy as they were in the opening scene of the Fast n Furious movie, this is where they are stealing the tanker trailers. What am i lookin at for a price tag on something like that? 20k?

well a cutlass, regal, monte carlo of the same year or earlier are all close in body style, i'm just wanting to know what they put under the hood and what kind of suspension they would put into it, they were driving the sh!#t out of it and it held together i assume, unless they used more than one. 65k is way out of my range lol so for 20k max you think i can build something that bada$$?

Of course they used more than one car.
They also used what we used to call "trick photography."
What you saw on the screen is not what really happened.
There's a saying I heard once somewhere: "It's only a movie." Don't confuse reality and fantasy.
Spoiler alert:
Those dinosaurs in "Jurassic Park" weren't real, and the "Star Wars" battles weren't filmed in outer space.

lol you guys. You mean to tell me you can't drive a GNX 60 mph and whip it 180 and then throw it in Reverse and keep goin?
Also, Captain Kirk really isn't a space captain?

How many miles did the poor GNX get? According to this site
http://blog.cardomain.com/2009/02/12...pecs-now-live/
They destroyed 6 Buicks for the film. Even if they were only "Grand Nationals," it still is a shame.

They probably had one to drive fast in a straight line, a shell for interior shots, another to crash, and another for the U-turn.

The driver makes all the difference ! Watch a video from Ken Block ripping up an old German racetrack and there is another where he's in San Francisco . This guy can drive . You have to see to beleive , although he's driving a AWD Ford rally car , I can't beleive the stunts and maneuvers this guy pulls off at any speed .

Ken is amazing, his cars are highly tuned/built. Heres a thread on here featuring him.

I found this a bit interesting..... he said they were doing 70mph and whipping the cars around all day =.=
They also stated that they mounted a body on the frame backwards and removed the supercharger to fit the motor in the trunk. lol wow.
and who's down for helping me build this.....
^^^^^^^^ PURE POWER This is a friggin' a beast of a motor and im partial to the bds blower just looks so joocy sexxy

Just a tidbit...the GNX has a ladder bar factory rear suspension. And it is all blacked out, unlike the GN which had emblems on it. It also had a T3 turbo w/ ceramic impeller and various other exhaust mods. They are rare, and expensive...but you can turn any GN into a GNX for the right price. The problem is, any decent GN is going to cost you $12-$15K and then you're looking at a couple thousand more to retrofit the suspension and other stuff. In the end you will have a GNX looking GN...but it still won't have the serial number on the dash and won't be worth any more than you bought it for

Thats the old the camera is faster than the eye In disney they have a stunt show I was watching and noticed the rear tires were spinning all over the place one minute then the front a minute later they then showed the two cars one was as stated flipped and a vey short gal drove it. I always liked the
89 turbo ta's too i was crushed when they came out and tested it against
a 65 gto tri power. The ta killed it.

I was at a local car show this past Sunday shooting the **** with a guy who has a beautiful 69 H/O. You don't see many up here. He mentioned his really rare car is a 86 (I think). GNX with 500 miles on it.
