Dual Gate Cable question

Dual Gate Cable question
Anyone buy a reproduction dual gate 70-72 cable from one of the known suppliers that can verify proper fit? Looking on the websites they all say something different about the cable length.
Parts Place 30"
OPGI 30.5"
Supercars Unlimited 29 15/16"

I got the answer by doing just a little more digging on the site. Looks like the one I got at supercarsunlimited is the correct one 29.7" same as compared to an original NOS cable

I got mine from Inline. Didn't have an original one to compare to and didn't measure it. It worked though. I've seen people talk about modifying the bracket on the transmission to work right with the repro cable. Maybe because they are too long. Glad it worked out for you.

I believe mine is the 30.5 from OPGI I've installed the shifter ran the cable but since my front end is on jack stands I never connected to trans. Looks like it will pin right up but something tells me it will not shift right when connected. What should I be looking for. I converted from column to console so I can put things where I want. 1/2" here 1/2" there I think. Haven't welded console brackets in yet. Pan is insulated that's it still wide open for adjustments. If you can't drive the car what should I be looking for ? If you put the shifters side by side and measure the shift distance to travel standard is 3 5/8 and the dual gate is 3 7/16 I guess that's why there long ? Maybe ? Really don't want to mess with the trans if I don't have to.
