Have tried two numbers for dr decal form the internet one was a donut shop
and other was a Guy who said if he ever meets him he going to whip his ***.
Is he still in business and has anyone have a good number?

His website is "under construction"

He has an active Facebook account under drdecal.

If you don't have a facebook account let me know & I'll post a message that he needs to get his website up or post a phone number where people can get a hold of him

Now I know why you need the ph number....best I can do for you right now is give you his email. mailto:drdecal@drdecal.com

He does the best work. A true professional and stickler for detail. When you do order from him, I know you'll be happy with what you get.

No, me either. But their website isn't that friendly. I like Marc's better because you can actually see what you're looking for.

Actually know Mark a bit, as lives in my area. We kinda have an impomptu Olds club here, but not very active. Last time I saw him was at a get together a couple years ago. Pretty sure he's also an engineer for Ford. Don't know the status of his decal business, but hard to believe anyone would be saying they'd want to kick his ***, as a super nice guy.

Gotta love the internet.

Best means ever devised for pushing huge amounts of inaccurate information to every corner of the globe!

If his website is down, how is he going to get e-mail at that drdecal.com address? That address is via his site.

You can have your site down but still have the domain running a mail server or forwarding mail.
The HTML server and the mail server are different.

As long as he's still got control of the domain he can run mail with no web site indefinitely.

Mark is a great guy and I've known him for years. I have some of Osbons decals I bought years ago and will never use them because they were crap and don't even compare to Marks. He is still in buissiness. Emailing him is the best way.

The guy who wants to kick his butt cracks me up. Just go's to show how stupid and lazy people have become. A simple lack of common sense. Just change your dang number.

I also have found that his decals are superb. He does have some competition starting from ILT, as they are upping the ante with the quality of 'some' of their decals. They are in no way however, as complete (thorough) as Marc is in his inventory or knowledge. If I need decals, Dr. Decal is usually my 'one stop shopping'.

Mark has just joined but is having problems posting. I don't know how to help him or what to suggest. I'm sure he is reading this if anyone has some ideas. He was able to pm me but that was it. Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Ok, Marc - if you're there....
What kind of problems posting? If you can PM DennisG you should be able to post on the forums. Scroll to the bottom of the thread to the 'dialogue box'. The basic one will have the 'post quick reply' and 'go advanced' tabs below it.

If you just want to post a quick reply or message, type it in the dialogue box overhead and press 'post quick reply'

If you want to quote someone from a thread, press the quote button at the bottom right of the permalink. It will open you up to a new window where you will have all kinds of 'advanced' options to play with - such as inserting pics, URLs from your website etc. Then press submit.

If you want to get to that 'advanced' section without quoting someone? Just press the 'go advanced' button in the dialogue box at the bottom of the thread and you will be directed to that same feature as described above. Note: in the advanced tab, you can also post those little smilies and put a topic to your post.

If that doesn't work for you? Maybe send me a PM and I'll see if we can work together on it.

BTW, Welcome to Classic Oldsmobile. Looking forward to your input. (now I'm hitting the "post quick reply" button

FYI I talked to Fusick about their decals and they get some from Dr Decal but some they are buying elsewhere. They said they have a guy making them and he uses a vinyl type material. So I order some and as they said, they are a vinyl type and I really like them. I know the OEM or some of them are just paper,so I think the Fusick decals for my $$$$ is the way to go. I'm not bashing Dr Decal by any means but if I can buy decals with longer life, that's what I'm going to do.

If you like Fusicks, you'll also like In Line Tube decals.

Is that some kind of back handed comment? Yeah,I like Fusicks decals, especially the engine code decals that will wipe off instead of staining. As far as INT decals, haven't seen them but if they're like some of their stuff, they're good.

Let me be very clear about this. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Mark. He's been providing great decals and service to the Olds community for a very long time. My comments about Fusicks vinyl style decals was just to show an alternative to others. I just think it's a novel idea to have decals made with a little more durability factor.

They said they get some but they have a guy making some too. I'm not sure which is which but I liked the decals I just bought.

No, it isn't. Sorry if it came across that way. I've bought decals from Fusick, ILT and Dr. Decal. I used Fusick first and the quality was ok. I bought from ILT and their quality was slightly better - even comparable to some of Marcs stuff. All I was saying was if you were satisfied with Fusick decals, you would probably be satisfied with ILT's too. (The Air cleaner decals from ILT are slightly better detailed than Fusicks - for starters). We good now?

Here is what Mark pm'ed me. If one of the mods could help out, that would be great.

drdecal, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Is this a new problem? Marc got in touch with me about accessing the site a couple weeks ago. I forwarded the info to 2 mods. The next day Marc PM'd me that it was resolved.

Yeah, an old thread. But here's something for anyone who's interested in Dr. Decal (Marc Cornea Reproductions). The site isn't great for navigation so use the search by year (all tags drop down) for best results.

I'd not seen this thread before--good information.

I bought engine tuneup decals from Marc when he first started out. When I received them I found they were made of paper. The ones on my cars (and cars of my brothers-in-law) were vinyl film.

I called Marc and he argued with me that the original decals were paper. The four cars I referred to were 1970 Lansing cars, maybe Marc was only looking at non-Lansing cars or different years.

Whatever, I crossed him off my mental list of reputable suppliers.

This thread pointed me to a source of correct decals and affirmed that Marc is actually a decent guy.
