Wow thats insane, one year ago i bought a really nice 4 speed console, with less pitting in the chrome, a BOP bellhousing, frame bracket, engine ball stud, and brake and clutch pedals for 1000 and i thought that was too much.
And i recently bought a nice top plate in the Dallas area, Craigs list for $125. Just need a door and a repo body to complete it.

You can still buy a nicer one than that for around $1000.
I've got two that are both nicer than that one.
Tempted to pull mine out and sell them if they'll bring that kind of dough.
Lot's of stupidity in the world.

Wow,almost $2400,Ouch,especially for a driver quality one at best!! With all the repo parts available for our cars these days I can't believe someone hasn't reproduced the top plate & door for these yet,it's not like it's a one year only piece. At least we can get the base & some of the small parts for them.

Once in a while you get crazy money for something. I eBay'd an old worn generic Hurst Comp Plus (not OEM) shifter body and it went waaayyyy higher than I expected (or it was worth IMO). I was so happy I threw a candy bar in the box for the buyer as a bonus!
