Congrats To Greg & Al Godon

I meant to post this yesterday but I was a zombie after the long ride home. Greg Godon aka rcktdoc here & his son Al won best of class with their cars. I can't begin to tell how nice both cars were and the paint work and attention to detail is second to none. If there's anybody needing paint or restoration work,do yourself a favor and call Greg, you won't be sorry. Greg also builds bad @$$ Olds engines too,the guy can do it all. Greg lives in the Northern Illinois area.

I'll "see you" on that and raise you Mike....I got to spend a lot more time visiting with Greg and Al this year (compared to last years event) and their cars are SUPER!! The finishes/work on their cars is STELLAR!! Pics just don't do the job at all when it comes to their work level. Knowing what they know and doing what they do there are those other "surprises" under the hoods and inside the motors Excellent guys those Godons. Their cars were in their trailers when I first spotted Greg and Al (Tuesday I believe) but in no time they were opening the trailers, pulling out the cars and giving me a personal "tour" of both cars and all the cool and stealthy details. Congrats!!

I told Patton if I could have jumped in any car there and driven away it would have been in that dark green '68 F-85 Ram Rod. Nice guys as well.

I had the pleasure to talk to Greg and see the 69 F85 he built for Ron Cooksey. I didn't realize he had other cars at the show. Now I'm kicking my self for not asking. Would have loved to see them.
