Cobblers kid get's new shoes!
The bad thing about working in restoration, is it ruins a perfectly good hobby. I finally got around to painting and installing my steel wheels, to replace the hideous truck wheels that were on the car when I got it. It doesn't sound like much, but trying to get an acceptable color match on what is probably a 25 year old Earl Shieb color is a little tricky. A PPG "picture" was pretty useless for this color, lol! Thanks to Orange442, I got a set of real nice caps. One photo is with the new caps and wheels/tires, and the other is from last year when it was fresh off the trailer.

Those were American Racing wheels. The funny thing is, I put them on craigslist cheap, and the phone rang off the hook. I should have destroyed them, but because I didn't, they will be killing the looks of yet another vehicle, lol!

Those wheels whre huge with the mini truck crowd and that whole 90's mini truck scene is making a big comeback . just like old cragar sst's , and lot mags they are making a come back. I must agree i love the dog dish caps. car looks amazing.

Ya, that was the cheapest alternative to the wires and bolt on centers that were supposed to be on it, when the 80's called and wanted their truck wheels back, lol!
Before, it was a little faster than it looked, and now it looks a little faster than it is, lol!

Dogbowls and properly turned down dual exhaust, tucked up under the car so it's barely visible, lend a very "business-like" air to this car indeed!
In other words "mess with me if you dare"!
