Chevy motor in oldsmobile

My son bought a new motor for his 1974 cutlass but the motor comes out of a 1973 chevy monte carlo. The motor has been put in but the person who put it in dosent know how to wire it so it cranks from the ignition switch. Is there an adapter wire harness or so ething we can buy to make this easy. If not can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get info about doing this. Thanks in advance.

I have never heard of any harness for this swap. The problem is the starter was on the left side of the engine with the Olds engine and now it is on the right side. The starter is the same and the hookup is the same. It is just a matter of extending the wires to the new starter location. You will also need to change the battery cable. That could be a problem since I am guessing the battery is on the right side of the car.
