Car Show Yesterday
I took my 54 to the annual car show in Wylie, Texas yesterday. It is part of their 4th of July festival. The show is put on by the local MoPar Club. It was pretty warm. My oldest grandson who is 11 rode out with me and the rest of the family came later after the show started. That was special. There were 185 cars entered. I entered in the 50's class and there were not a lot of cars in the class. When the winners were announced, I did not place which was okay. I went to have a good time. The last award announced was the Mayor' Choice and I won it. I almost left after the 50's winners were announced since I did not feel I had a chance out of 185 cars. There were some very nice cars there. I have attached a three photos. One is me with the two grandsons and the others are pretty self explanatory. I am still a little amazed this morning. There was one other Olds there and it was a nice 72 442 convertible. There was an unrestored 1929 REO there.

Congratulations Glenn!
Those boys look like they're going to be taller than you soon. Looks like they already have a special relationship with their Grand Dad. Cherish the memories and take lots of pics. You and I know how fast time just flies by. LOL, looks like we have the same barber and share the same hair color.

Thanks for the kind comments. Those grandsons are special. They and their Mom live with us. They have no father figure in their lives. It was a very special time for the oldest and me. I will never forget him riding shotgun to the car show. The young one rode back in the backseat with his grandmother and me. Of course I installed seatbelts in the backseat so they could ride back there. There are tall and their ages are 9 and 11. They will be way taller than me. Allan, I am glad I have hair at my age.
