AutoFair April 7-10

There has been a good Olds showing in the past. Sadly a few years ago, some idiots with spray paint cans painted up a few Hurst Olds that were showing as a group in the infield. Those same clowns also nailed a dozen Corvettes (thankfully not mine) the same evening.
Security is tighter now. Hope to see you fellows there. PM me if interested and I'll give you a cell phone number so we can make contact. I'm about 30 minutes to the track.

I went but didn't get over there. About 10 miles walking according to my iPhone. Went around the entire paved area of the track first, then zig zagged down every row in the infield. Went out the back of the track and turned right and by that time a lot of the vendors were already packing up.
I would say it ended up being a waste of time, since there was only a handful of Olds parts that I even saw. But, I did meet some nice Olds owners. There were only about 15-20 Oldsmobiles at the show from what I saw. That seemed very low to me.
I talked at length with a guy who had a 70 W-30 Convertible. He wanted $70k for it, which would be a super deal, but no broadcast card. He did mention that he had it certified by someone in the business for I think $1500. He also had the car displayed at the RE Olds Museum. So I'm thinking it is probably authentic, but he did have the vin covered up.

Did not to go to Autofair this year. Went to Classic Olds in Clemmons instead. He had hot dogs and hamburgers and about 15 cars there too. He was also giving discounts on parts.. Had a good time yesterday but had to work today. Left my Delta there and going to pick it up tomorrow. I think the Autofair pooped on him with his spaces this year....
