ARP bolts and AC/Alternator mounting question.

I recently replaced head gaskets on my 442, at the recommendation of the engine shop I got the ARP head bolt kit. Problem is, there were no bolts w/stud in the kit. I need these for the mounting of my AC/alternator braces.

I sent an email to ARP but figured I'd see if anyone here has ran into this also and what route you took. Mixing in stock replacements with the ARP bolts does not sound like a wise choice to me. Hopefully ARP or someone else has a suitable option.

Feeling like this may be one of those situations where I'd have been better off with stock replacements and maybe I'm throwing my $$ at something unnecessarily. That said, these bolts are impressive!

Replace just the ARP bolts with the studs needed for your accessories.

Unfortunately, it's the only choice. ARP hardware is intended for race cars. A/C mounting usually isn't an issue in those.

If this is your only option it won't make a difference. ARP head bolts are nice but reusing your old bolts with AC bracket studs won't cause you to grenade your engine.

Use the ARP lube on them and the same torque specs.

You could call ARP and give them the spec's of the factory bolt you want and they can supply you with what you need.
