Got to chat up with a few people already and everyone was nice I'm checking if anyone is close distance to Chicago? Any shows meets cool stuff to do with the car when the weather is nice? Wouldn't mind going to a show and see other people's car and talk to and learn from experiences people. Let me know thanks

Go to the Olds Homecoming Show in Lansing, MI, the day before Father's Day. One day show and well worth the drive. Massive car show and swap meet all compressed into 6 hours - 9am to 3pm.

there are cruise-ins almost every night of the week around Chicago from Memorial day to Labor day. There is a big one on the north side on Monday's, Friday is Downers Grove and I think Lemont aas well. Saturday is Westmont maybe.

Jefferson swap meet within the next 14 days in Wisconsin. Lombard il has Saturday night car shows and a cruise but check for the dates this year. northlake days the end of june. skips swap meets check for the dates and I also think peotone has one still maybe. sunday memorial day weekend valpo fest in Indiana. I have been to all of these and it is best to keep a log book that is organized for needs and associated parts it is best to fly alone most of the time for cost and time needs. june also has a railroad days cruise in franklin park il but check the date it might have changed also check out rte 66 carshow at the end of august in Berwyn il. I would also if it is your bag to plan trips to the dragstrip may june or September july and august mths are booked there most of the time.

Mt. Prospect has Cruise nights every Saturday at 5:00 at the train station. This is very close to where you live.

Illinois Valley Oldsmobile Chapter has their Spring Dust Off on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend (May 27th) at the Polka Dot Drive In in Braidwood from 1-6 PM.

Monthly Cruise nights will be held the first Tuesday of the month, with May 9th being at Demon Dogs in Alsip (116th and Pulaski) and June 6th will be at the Tinley Park Bowling Alley (183rd Street & 76th Avenue)
