84 H/O on ebay
There is a beautiful 84 H/O currently on Ebay that is supposed to be an orig. 49k mile car. The vehicle's condition seems to be consistent with the mileage but I noticed that on both the driver and passenger door panels, there's an indent where I believe a "Brougham" emblem should go. Now, I know that the emblem wouldn't be on an 84 H/O, but am I wrong to think that this car may have the wrong door panels?

I'm pretty sure the indentation on those door panels is correct on the H/Os since they DID use the same door panels. They were indented for the Cutlass Calais script emblem but omitted when used for the H/O interior. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

$25k does seem like wishful thinking. But then again, you only need one buyer LOL!
I get it, there was only 3500 originally. But 84 H/O's just do not seem to be in demand. I've been following these (as well as 87 Grand Nationals) religiously for two, almost three years now. The unmolested GN's usually sell. The 84 H/O's just move from one website to another, but the price remains the same. Kinda baffles me. The way I see it is, if you're offering your car for sale, it usually means that you're finished playing with it and are ready to move on to something else. I know that it's a unique vehicle, but it's still an 80's car that (at least in California) is required to pass a SMOG test. One guy here in CA wouldn't drop his asking price even tho he had removed (and thrown away) all of the SMOG equip. Why would I pay $14k for a car that not only doesn't start, but I can't have the ownership transferred without a SMOG certificate. Mind boggling! oh well. I guess that's what makes this hobby fun.
