76 Cutlass - has anti-siphon?

Hey all,

I need to change the fuel tank sender in my '76 cutlass. Tried to empty tank using one of those cheap harbor freight hand pumps... Nothing. Not even wet at the tip. Is my tank that empty or does it have an anti-siphon installed from the factory?

I bought the car a few weeks ago and have no idea how much gas might be in there.

Thanks!

I've found that you can disconnect the rubber line going to the fuel pump and use compressed air in the filler neck to empty the tank. Just dial the pressure down at the compressor.
