72 cutlass supreme 442 vert with 350 exhaust
Hi all.
i am looking to redo my exhaust, it is rusted in spots and I’d like a little more growl as well as I’m swapping to a notched bumper so it’s time.
i have stock manifolds and want a whole new system. Where is the best place to find/ buy this? I was reading that parts place is no good? I’d like to go 2-1/2 all the way and still not sure about mufflers, contemplating borla ( if anyone has them let me know your thoughts) but that’s up in the air. In a perfect world I’d like to buy the down pipes and tailpipes separate so I can buy the mufflers I want.
if I have to I’ll buy a full set and just not use the stock mufflers
thx in advance
mike

I would go 2.5" and Walker Dynomax Turbos. There must be about a bazillion choices for 2.5" A-body pre-bent pipes, at least for header-back applications. If you plan to run manifolds you'll need to have the down pipes bent to fit.

This spring I put Pypes 2.5 stainless exhaust with their mufflers and Thorton’s manifolds, on my 72 350. I went with the X pipe exhaust and their BBO down pipes. I did have to do some bending and cutting to get the fit how I wanted it. Overall a very nice system.

I was looking at that but I don’t have the ability to cut and weld the exhaust
has anyone used the exhaust from inline tube? I think it is all factory stock size, 2-1/4 and 2” after the mufflers

Gardner exhaust
I've used Gardner on another application and can tell you they are fantastic. Not the cheapest by any means, but you will be very happy. I bought the aluminized steel off road option and it sounds great. Scroll down on the sound clip link to find Olds examples.
