52-56 Valve Cover Question
Hi...
I'm new here and am restoring a set of 52-56 "Oldsmobile Rocket" valve covers that are green in color. I realize the raised letters were originally painted yellow, but was wondering if anyone sold a set of decals instead.
Thanks,
Tom

Tom, welcome to our site. I don't have an answer to your question but do have a suggestion. An accomplished pinstripe artist could paint those embossed letters on the valve cover with little effort. Their forte is painting straight and true lines without any guide, those embosses would make it a snap. Just a thought.

If you use a roller get a foam one. These are pretty much as close as you will be able to get to 0 nap. Some cars that are painted in primer are painted with foam rollers. It is supposed to cover thicker and more evenly than brushes, fiber rollers, or spray guns.
