350 - JM 20- 22 cam results

Hey all, so I've had my 350 in place of the 307 for a few months and it has about 4k miles on it now. I wanted to do a quick follow up on how it runs and drives. It's a factory 70 4bbl engine with only the following mods, the cam, adjustable rockers, and a hughes 2500 stall converter with a turbo 350/ transgo reprogramming kit. Oh it also has thornton 350 jrs and 2.5 dual exhaust, no h or x pipe. I will say I was alittle worried about poor vacuum but this isn't the case, at idle it feels like a factory cam with a slight lope. As for driveability when cruising around town casualty, it feels pretty much stock wich is what I was going for as its an every day use car BUT when you get into the secondarys (quadrajet) this thing pulls hard through the rpms. I haven't brought it past 5k and I don't ever plan to (not sure of the redline).

I'm unsure what I have for rear gears but it runs at 3100 rpm cruising steady at 90mph with no overdrive. It's a 1990 buick estate wagon (4400 pound B body). Also it was a factory 310 horse motor but I have no clue what it's at now. I can't imagine doing just a cam did much to add alot of power but it deffenitly shifted my powerband into the higher rpms. Maybe some of you have some thoughts on this.

Here's a video of it running.

The 20-22 is a great street cam. Perfect for cruising and occasional 0-60 blasts.

Has good vacuum and pulls hard in the low to mid range,

3100 rpm at 90 w stockish size tires is probably 2.xx rear gear

That's about what my 2.73 rear does in my Chevy. 2500 at 70, 3500 at 100, so 3000 at 85 would be on the track.

I believe a 2.93 was the standard gear in the 8.5" rear in the wagons, 3.23 may have been a option. What is it idiling at? What does the Hughes converter stall behind your 350? Even my 214/214 cam is noticeable and definitely prefers a higher stall with the 2.78 gears.
