1972 Cutlass Convertible Spar Stowage

I have seen quite a few threads addressing correct spare tire storage. Does anyone have any photos of a correct trunk configuration for a 1972 Cutlass Convertible? I have SSII Wheels but the spare is a black service rim. My Chassis Service Manual shows a disk that covers the spare in stowage. Fusick sells a pressboard tire cover disk but lists it for 1961-1968 only. I have not seen any info that supports the Service Manual. Is this a mistake?

The 72 Assembly manual shows it a bit different. Pg. 10-102.

The first pic has a 69 tail light ? are you looking at a 72 or 69 manual?

Interesting....
It is a 1972 manual. Would a 72 conv w/ SSII wheels have a SSII spare or could it have been the steel spare in the pic I posted?

My trunk lid has an F85 spare stowage decal so I was guessing the trunk lid has been replaced.

In the 72 Chassis service manual it shows wheel/tire stowage for both the steel wheel and the SS wheels for the F85(Cutlass)page 10-7,10-8.
A car either had 5 steel hub cap wheels or 5 SS1 or II wheels no mixing from the factory. The picture above, look closely, it looks like Delta 88 tail lights not 69 cutlass.

Agree that the spare would match the wheels on the car. Since you have a plain wheel for a spare, I would just set it up as the manual shows for the plain wheels.
