1969 442 W32 for sale

Not mine, and I know nothing about the car or seller.

I know we like to discuss the rare Oldsmobiles when they come up.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oldsmobile-4...US_Cars_Trucks

Some notable details:
1. "Front dick brakes". Rare in itself
2. "SAME CAM THAT CAME IN THE 455, 425HP 1966 TORANODO"
3. "AUTOMATIC 3 SPEED WITH A HEAD SNAPING SIFTER" Probably mandatory with the dick brakes.
4. "HEAVEY DUTY 12 BOLT THAT IS VERY FAST WITH 440 TORQUE" Better not be faster than the rest of the car. Rears do create torque!
5. "COOL AIR FLOWING FROM UNDER THE FRONT CHROME FENDER" Obviously the chrome fender is needed to keep it ahead of the rearend.

Is this your car? Is it matching numbers drive line? Do you have documentation?

Sadly, the 1969-only sport wheel that used to be on that car is worth WAAAAY more than the Starfire four spoke in it now.

I like it, those are nice and rare and hardly come up for sale. Tough car to price out, part of me is thinking - wow that's a lot of cash, part of me thinks for 50k they are giving it away based on survival rate alone.

Rare is an understatement. IF the car is legit, it's one of 25 1969 W-32 convertibles. Unfortunately, there are some issues. What's with the double belt pulley on the alternator? And that sure looks like a "non-dicks brake" master cylinder. And the aforementioned incorrect wheel.

Could he have taken any less useful photos?

This guy has been trying to sell this forever...he is close to me....I don't like to pick apart someone's spelling, grammar, etc., but c'mon.....have someone who speaks english proofread this! Makes me feel uneasy as a prospective buyer whether this guy even knows anything about the car!

Understood and thank you for the clarification. As a person with dyslexia I try not to judge, however I do also try to do everything in word so I can do a spell and grammar check : )

spoke to guy who is somewhat clueless unfortunately.
Asked ending numbers in carb- don't know
asked date code on air cleaner - where is it
asked him dist number - where is it and don't know if it is original
apparently he claims original interior??
spoke to lady a few years back who owned before him on LOng Island she claimed original.
he also thinks there is only 25 hardtops made, told him 200 something
But nevertheless still a nice car

no docs, and easiest w car to clone due to OG tranny and C heads.
So you have to have docs with those cars unlike 31 for instance where if there are missing pieces you can rule out easier here w 32s its harder.

My apologies to you and anyone else who may think I'm making fun of anyone with any disability. I would never intentionally do that. But I know of this guy and his car from previous experiences, as has been now pointed out. I'm making fun of this particular guy because not only is he ignorant, he was not at all receptive to the truth when it was initially presented to him quite tactfully.
In this case, he is a fool and that is not "disability", at least to me. To me (again), he's earned the ridicule. And his miscues are frankly quite amusing. He has room in his mouth for both feet.

Dick breaks are nothing to make fun of either, these are very painful.

I spoke to the owner this summer at the Eisenhower Park car show, he had a for sale sign on the window for $100,000. I told him I owned a 69 Cutlass Convertible and wanted to take a look at his car. I had my 3 year old daughter with me and no flash light so couldn't really look up and write down engine numbers. he was kind of stand offish too, As if I was bothering him admiring his car, and was not easy to talk to or understand. I will however say looks wise the car is sexy as hell with the black exterior and red guts

Yeah, I got my share of dyslexia too, and can't type for $45t, but if I know I have a problem with English, and I am trying to get top dollar for a rare car, I would consider getting some help on writing ad text. Have a 12-yr old look it over, maybe.

And have every number on hand. Get help finding them as necessary, since those numbers GREATLY affect the vehicle value.

The seller is absolutely convinced that "all Lansing cars are W-whatever" instead of the more accurate "all W-cars of the era came from the Lansing plant [along with millions of non-W-cars]..." A subtle but not negligible difference.

"Same heads as a W30" is just plain Bullshed:

Im not one to call it a "clone" but I would need some kind of paper trail before I would spend 50k on it! W32 cars were a special breed and worth big money if documentation is correct. Maybe some original pictures before the resto too. Neat speedminder!
