1966 w30 #24
I would like to say congrats to 66trakpak on his new purchase of #24. Some of you may have recently seen it at the Texas zone show. I had the pleasure of going to look at this car for him and it is a truly amazing factory original car. I would also like to add that the previous owner is an incredible guy and a asset to the Oldsmobile community. You may have to update your name of 66trakpak being you now have the real deal W30! You are in very exclusive club now my friend. All the best. P.S. As repayment for that trip I will be driving it!

No Mr,just call me boss. Now,if you can off the rusted hulk and that fiberglass car,you too might could join that exclusive club. Then again, you might just stroke the check to join.

Well being I am currently holding the title for this particular W30 I may be making a trip to the dmv on Monday. Problem solved I get the W30, keep the rusted hulk and that fiberglass thing...

Hold up there buddy!!! I knew you said you forgot to bring it in for some reason you don't want that Grandpa car!!!

You do have a very valid point there. That would be painful for the other guy,no car and 1,833 vehicle inspections to go.

All jokes aside,I'm very glad the Gary got the car he's always wanted. The previous owner,Joe Donnelly aka Run To Rund has owned the car since 1977 I think. It was hard for Joe to let it go but as with all of us,father time isn't our friend & the realization sets in that we are not here forever. Joe passed the car on down to a younger guy who will take very good care of it I'm sure and the legacy will live on. Congratulation Gary.

awesome car……..how close is # 24 to # 18 is it also a 4 speed bench seat car?
I can see it has no B85 moulding and no door trim base F85 instead ?

The # 18 car is loaded with extra trim options. This # 24 is a bare bones Club Coupe with no trim options. All Club Coupes & F-85 Deluxe hardtops were bench seat cars,no buckets. Only Cutlass trim models were available with bucket seats.

Thanks, I've pondered this for a long while and was finally able to make it happen. Really wish I could keep the RamRod also, but it is just not feasible for me at this time. It will be missed!!

That pulley is L88 PN 3829387 with 1/8" machined off the back to give the correct spacing. The deep groove keeps the belt from being thrown or flipping over. You can make your own by buying a pulley from a restoration company. Use two washers on the front, so the nut will be in the correct position on the threaded part of the shaft. I bought several of these pulleys from GMPD in the early 1970s.

The cowl tag shows E2HL5VZY meaning tinted glass, heater delete (C48), 4 speed floor shift, 4-4-2 body trim, shoulder belts, deluxe seat belts. So, the only two "luxury" options on the car are tinted glass and deluxe belts!

Hey Joe, I assume you took that car to the track a few times, what was your best run?
