71 Cutlass gen and oil light stays on with ignition off

My gen and oil light stays on when I shut off the car. When I remove the wire from the oil sending unit it does go off. The gen light stays on even with the wire off the gen. When I start the car all the lights functions properly. I replaced the ignition and head light swith no change. tonight im replacing the turn signal switch, but I dont think it will effect it since I disconnect the harness trying to find out why those lights stay on with ignition off. 71 cutlass convertable

Your back feeding power through the system somehow. When did this problem start?

Your going to have to go back through your wiring you have battery power supplying the idiot lights instead of switched.

You was right. I found a hot wire tied in to the power lead to the convertable wire. That wire went into the acc in the fuse box. Condition corrected. Thanks
