1957 Starfire blinker issue

Hello;
I have an intermittent blinker issue usually with my left blinker and seldom with the right. I will flick the leaver to turn left and the indicator will flicker and the nothing after that. If I return the blinker to centre and back to the left it 9 out 10 times will work. Is this possibly an adjustment in the column or a relay issue?

Sounds like the switch in the column to me. Could also be a bad/weak ground.

I was thinking the same, I hope to get it through to winter when I will have more time to tear it apart and trouble shoot it.
Is it possible if one of the lamp sockets isn't grounded proper that this can happen?

It could also be grease or corrosion on the contacts in the switch unit. This is easy to fix, but you will have to pull the steering wheel to check.
Try cleaning the contacts, and then lube them with a small amount of dielectric grease. Test the operation before you put the wheel back on.

Thanks, I will take a look at that as well. I seamed to remember seeing something in the manual about an alignment procedure for the switch as well.
