No tail lights or brake lights

I have no tail lights or brake lights. I have blinkers. I have replaced headlight switch to fix panel dimmer. I have replaced turn signal switch to fix bad cancelling cam. I had brake lights for sure before replacing turn signal switch. I checked fuse panel, OK. No power to bulb socket. checked and cleaned ground wire. It is metal to metal. I have run out of things to check so any help would be welcomed.

Check the curved connections at the bottom of the steering column.
Had a 65 Nova with loose connections there.

So your taillights don't go on when you pull out the headllight switch, and they don't go on when you step on the brakes, but they do go on when you turn on your signal lights?

The problem here is that you describe a situation where two completely unrelated systems are both not working.

1 - Are the taillight filaments in the bulbs working, or are they burned out?

2 - Are the correct (bright) filaments going on when you turn on the signal lights?

3 - Do the 4-way flashers work?

4 - Are all your light grounds and sockets clean?

5 - Have you checked for poorly connected plugs and pinched wires on the parts you changed?

Since you have two different problems in two different systems, and you changed one component in each system before the problems started, the cause is likely in the things you did to change those two parts.

Feeling dumb. It was my ribbon wire that came loose I guess from cleaning fuse panel and checking all the connections there. Thanks again for the advice.

It's always the last thing you did.

Glad you got it fixed.
