speedometer choices

I would like to update my speedo with an newer one but there comes a few problems with that.

1. no turn signal indicators in new speedos
2. no high-beam indicator
3. no gear indicator

That is a lot to give up. What are you guys doing? Can I buy a newer speedo with any of these features?

How about rebuilding the original? That is not cheap but maybe the only way to go. The speed indicator bounces all over and I replaced the cable and trans gear. Still not good.

You mentioned changing the speedo cable and gear, but what about the drive gear in the trans tailshaft? Maybe test by connecting the cable to a power drill chuck to see if still bouncing. The plastic drive/driven gears at the trans end can get chewed up.

Could also ask for a used column shift speedo in the parts wanted section. Someone might have a leftover from doing a bucket/console conversion.
