Cigarette ligther

I bought a after market cigarette lighter from O reillys and found the housing did not fit because it had a longer lenght then the original. I ended up buying the correct one from Year one for $25. In the wiring diagram I only see 1 big orange wire connecting to the back of the cigarette lighter with no ground attachment. Is this correct? The reason I ask is the one from O'reilys had an attachment for a ground. I kept blowing fuses so I figured I had better start from scratch with the correct lighter. Wonder why the after market didn't work?

I don't know anything about the aftermarket version, but the stock lighter (and all other dashboard components) ground through a stamped sheet metal ground plate on the backside of the plastic dash. The lighter housing clamps onto this ground plate when you screw the two parts of the housing together. That's why only a single power wire is required.

I know this is a simi old post.
Is the back of you cig-lighter a blade contact, or a round contact????
Mine is a blade, but the wire I have for it is for a round contact. I am kind of waiting to see what I should do.
