Sun Pro Tach for empty clock gauge in Dash

I have been searching the forums to find the size of a tach that will fit in dash (my car has a blank gauge where the clock goes). Research indicates 3 3/8" gauge will fit quite well. I came accross this gauge locally being sold:

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-other-auto-p...ationFlag=true

Seller is not able to figure out the size or provide any information listed on the gauge. For those of you that have experience with Sun Pro, does this seem like it will fit flush? I found this picture (attached) and was looking to do a clean install similar to it..

If the gauge i am looking at wont fit well, is there a Sunpro model number similar to that in the picture that someone can refer me to. Thanks!

That looks like the one in my car. Be aware that it won't fit flush as shown above - you have to make some sort of holder to get it like the pic. In my car, i just put a couple wraps of electrical tape around the perimeter then friction fit it into the gauge face plate. I have some parts to mount it behind the face plate but too many other projects take precedence.

I have the same set up. I wrapped electrical tape around it to make it snug. That was at least 25 yrs. ago. I might have put a zip tie around it....I've slept since then.

I have this one if interested. I dropped it in from the front of an old housing I had. Sits in there ok. You may be able to make it work.

The pic in the OP is mine. In this case i put it behind the lens of the dash as well as have the lens on the tach, that makes it hard to see in some conditions. Someday i will either take the lens off the tach or off the dash probably the former. IIRC i used a similar method w a zip tie or electrical tape or a hose clamp in an old speedo housing.

The link looks like the same size tach but i dont like how the needle points to less than zero makes me wonder if it works.

theres many other aftermarkets tachs available in that size as well.

Be aware that Bosch bought the Sunpro line and is making them with the Bosch logo on them now. The 2 tachs you posted are the same basic size.

this one seems to be as close as can be to the OP pic.

I have several others (not for sale) that ive picked up over the years they all appear to be nearly identical including the linked to and pictured above super tach II, a super tach and what may be the start of the line super tach thats all metal !!!

Does the bezel around the tach come off in order to install? I am considering this one, basically the new SunPro but with a Bosch logo:

If the bezel need to be removed I might as well buy the version without the chrome bezel.
