new 1157 bulbs
I bought a couple of new incandescent 1157 bulbs at O'reillys.
They seem way too difficult to twist into the 1971 Cutlass taillights. I seemed like the very old ones went in better.
I can not imagine that I am doing this wrong. Anyone else have similar problems ?
Thanks !

Scroll down to "Related Topics". Try to find out where the interference is between the socket and bulb. I haven't replaced any of those bulbs on my cars yet. I will find the interference points and remove metal with a Dremel and touch up with paint.
......Just my two cents worth.

Now that this has been brought up, I had the same problem pushing mine in last summer, however I got them in with a good amount of pushing and turning effort.
It could be the radius at the bottom of the metal case being smaller than the radius in the plastic socket, I didn't bother checking to see what the problem actually was since I got it in and working
