1967 CS Rear Lighting
I have a 1967 Cutlass Supreme with the 4 red lenses in the back and reverse lights in the bumper near the license plate. I am in the process of rewiring the entire vehicle. In a period correct car, how do these lights work? I think I would like all 4 lights to go bright when I hit the brakes and both lights on each side to blink when the turn indicator is on. However, I don't remember what the lights did before I ripped out all the old wiring (because my old wiring and sockets were really bad and needed replacing). So, I am planning to have both the top and bottom light on each side indicate brakes and turn. I'm building a restomod so I do not have to stay period correct but wanted to make sure I wasn't forgetting anything and I am now curious how these lights should work.
Thanks!
Thanks!

To be pedantic, the sockets in the reverse lights are 1 filament, and so is the tag. The red lights are dual filament 1157s which operate as described above, with the brakes and turns being on the bright filament and the running lights being on the dimmer one. So, when turning, the turning light will blink the bright filament, effectively going from bright to dim and back, when the running lights are on.
