Brake light

Installed a new harness last night in a 68 Cutlass s. Have a new bulb. Left rear brake light doesn't work. Any idea? Could it be in the switch at the pedal?

Also, left turn signal does not work. Light on dash lights up. Going to check ground and bulb at core support. Any other ideas.

thanks for the help.

Have you measured or tested for voltage when the bake is depressed at the rear lamp socket? Does the tail light work when you turn on the headlights? If you have voltage and the tail light works the only thing it can be is the terminal inside the socket is not touching the bulb.

If the tail light works you know its not a ground issue. The other brake light works so its not the brake switch.

So I got the drivers front turn signal working. Just do not have drivers rear turn signal or brake light. Tail lights all work. Any thoughts?

Either a bad bulb, socket, etc Did you check for voltage at the socket? 1157 bulbs are 2 filament, 1 for brake/turn the other for tail lights.

I switched bulbs from other side that worked. Did not check voltage yet, thought that since I had tail lights that I had voltage.
