Equus Gauge Install

Equus Gauge Install
Hi, I am going to be installing these gauges soon:
https://www.iequus.com/8100.html
I found a really good thread here that got me about 95% of the way there. There is just one more thing I was needing some help with.
Each of the three gauges has a black and white wire to feed the lights - can these three get combined with a twist on wire nut with a length of 18 gauge wire, and then the single wire can go to the fuse box and the other to ground or does each wire have to go to ground and the fuse box independently?
It seems to me that they could be combined but the last thing I want to do is start a fire or something.
Thanks!

I wouldn't use a wire nut, there are better ways to splice wires together. Yes, you can connect all 3 power and grounds together and run 1 wire to the lighting circuit and tie the other to ground. On mine I picked up the gauge pod mounting screw for the ground using a ring terminal.

Properly crimped connectors will work just as well as soldered connectors. Either way you'll need a special tool. Either a crimper or a soldering iron. I would go with a crimper, that way you can do spark plug wire ends too. This is the one I have, it works just as well as the fancy ones I use at work.

If you want to go cheap you can even get something like this:
This type of tool doesn't work as well as the ratcheting crimper though.
Apparently, you can get evrything you need at Harbor Freight now. Of course, buyer beware.

Cheap crimper won't give you a "properly crimped connector". Why are people so afraid of a soldering iron? Crimped connectors are used in production for assembly speed, not necessarily because they are the best design. Witness the other thread here recently about headlights not working - the problem was the factory crimp at the junction at the first bulb.
