I'm having one installed in my 72 right now and no mention by the vendor or my installer of needing any different pulleys.

I installed Old Air Products A/C system myself and used all my stock 2 grove pulleys. 64 F-85 Pro-Touring

I installed a vintage air factory fit system in my 69, the instructions had specific pulley codes and suggested belt size ranges. I don’t have my instructions near me now or I would look. However, my compressor isn’t located like what was shared in the pic. My kit located the compressor in basically the same place as factory, right above the fuel pump. Maybe our kits are different, or vintage air has change some things.

If you have three belts, you need three pulleys.

Crank and alternator
Crank and PS pump
Crank and A/C compressor

If you are adding A/C, you probably want an A/C water pump. Depending on the year, if it's a 6" pump, the three groove water pump pulley may be your only option.

Hey guys, after Joe posted his comment I just went outside to the car and I stand to be corrected. The crank and water pump pulleys are three grove. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Now the Compressor you will get has a 2 grove pulley which will give you some flexibility depending on your application.

When I was installing aftermarket A/C units the kits would sometimes have an add-on crank pulley that bolted to the harmonic balancer inside the factory pulleys. This pretty much gave you a dedicated pulley groove for the compressor and all you had to worry about was getting the tension right on the belt. Dunno if your kit will have something like that or not.
