LED gauge bulb fit?

Found many posts here about converting to LED, but nothing specific about the fit issues I've seen elsewhere online. Apparently some of the LED replacements are slightly bigger than the originals and won't quite fit in the housing - slightly too long, I think. Has anyone upgraded 71 Cutlass gauge lights to LED without issue, and if so, do you remember the manufacturer of the LEDs?

Ignore above, I've found some that claim to meet the 194 dimensions exactly to avoid such problems. We'll see.

Typically it's not the 194 bulbs that are a fitment issue. The 1157's however most often won't fit properly in the OEM sockets. One note on the 194's, they are polarity sensitive, so if you install one and it doesn't light, rotate the socket 180 degrees and it should work.

I refitted my gauges with 194 replacement LEDs from ebay, the ones that come from China or Hong Kong with free shipping - think I've spent less than $15 total on all of them and they work great.

I think the LED bulbs look weird in the dash gauges. The light is uneven.

I don't really see any coverage difference across the gauge faces, just the difference in terms of the bright white lighting v. the normal backlighting color you get from the regular lamps.

I like them but I can see where others might find them a bit stark in contrast to the warmer tone of a regular bulb.
