Replaced Ignition Coil - radio now intermittent
Background
When I first bought the car, the stock am/fm radio did not work (at that time I did not verify why - was not a priority). I was inspecting/ confirming the connections at the distributor, ignition coil and voltage regulator & grounds. Cleaned up several and re-tightened. At that time, replaced the original voltage regular (I kept it) on the firewall with new solid state one. Right after this work, my radio worked. ??
Today
I replaced my ignition coil, cleaned the coil mounting bracket & installed new ignition coil.
Now the radio does the following:
turn it on and the sound is very muffled, then there is no sound, then muffled sound, and so on.
Note: I do have rally pack so there is a tach wire to the ignition coil
Am curious what wires that I may have disturbed near ignition coil could impact my radio? Or is it a coincidence?
