If the module is defective or the weight sensor is broke...or if the weight sensor is working properly and is a false positive effect.
I won’t be home for a few days but will try to get you pics of the correct wiring diagram and literature that oertaims to this system. In the meantime you could back trace from the solenoid and just eliminate that circuit, as GM canceeed it after a year or two. As Kong’s as your solenoid is energizing and the starter is spinning them the only missing pieces are Air-fuel-heat for combustion, meaning gas & Air thru carb & spark.

Yes. Only needs pushed if sensor thinks it has a load on it without seat belt fastened. You might try just competing the seat belt circuit to also verify that the circuit is operating as intended
I have only seen the option on 74, and I think an early production 75.

Eric far de it from me to correct you, but that switched relay is OEM. It is part of a safety circuit I. Case you have a small child or package on the front passenger seat that trips the weight sensor but doesn’t have the seat belt on. It allows the safety to be bypassed in an emergency to let you drive. It’s a 74-5(iirc) only package. Son”if” the seat belt module that’s under front passenger seat is defective...tripped etc them pushing that button will allow emergency operation of the vehicle. But only once, **** it down and you’ll needTo push the switch. It acts as a latching relay circuit. Brett
This is a good example when the service manual comes in handy for a particular vehicle
