Stealing power.

Where can I say the best place to get power in a 1964 Jetstar. I'm running 4 new gauges under the dash.

What gauges are you adding? Normally mechanical gauges just require a light with the exception of the volt meter. You can tap into the dash lighting and also tap into any 12v keyed power source for the voltmeter in the fuse box.

Follow the wiring diagram for the tach and use the same 12v source as the volt meter. I tie my grounds to the bottom of the metal dash.

Ok I don't have a factory Tach. The manuals I have are for a 1964 starfish not sure if the wiring would be the same I would assume so.

Your adding an aftermarket tach that should have come with a wiring diagram correct?

Once I get it I'm sure it will I have the oil gauge thus far. I purchase just one gauge to get sizes. I made a under dash interior colour sheet metal panel.

A lot of us add these items to our cars, pretty simple. They are great for detecting minor issues before they become major.
