License Plate bulb socket

The socket cannot be fixed a ground issue. The bulb is 97 or 1155

Where can I get a socket I am not to bright I guess. Many sites have a push in bulb socket. This should be a push in and twist bulb.

I thought this would be simple to find

It would help if you said what vehicle you are working on.

Sorry 1964 Olds 98, but the bulb is #97. Should not the socket be the same for that bulb?

The socket is swaged into the housing. You won't find a specific replacement because it is not replaceable by itself. You will either need to machine out the old socket and adapt something else, find a good license plate light assembly, or do what I did on my 62 Olds and just replace the whole thing with an LED license plate light.

Would this work for your application? It's out of a '68. The bulb in it is a "67".
