Tick tock tach wiring to repo unit | clarification needed
Does the tach wire itself ground to the bottom of the unit ? I have a repo tick tock tach and I bought the tach wire from inline tube. I know it goes to the negative side of the coil, but on the tach side...2 wires, 1 is brown and it self explanatory but the coax one...bottom of the unit for ground?
Thanks

^^^THIS. The overbraid is just a shield for radio noise suppression. The tach itself grounds through the housing to the ground straps behind the plastic dash. I've connected a bunch of tachs with unshielded wire, and with resistor plugs there wasn't any radio noise anyway.
