Ignition Coil Restoration

Does anyone have a vendor that'll restore / rebuild an ignition coil?

What is so unique/valuable about this coil that a replacement, vs. a rebuild, will not do, I wonder?

For example. A 66 Olds 442 tri carb came from the factory with a #191 Delco unit. That coil was never serviced or used on any other car. So if a guy was doing a concourse restoration and had a bad #191 coil, why not try to rebuild it?
