Antenna parts help
Hey all!
*Car is a 1964 Cutlass with manual front fender antenna.*
Finally go a new radio to replace my old AM only, and now I need to figure out th antenna situation.
The antenna cable is ran from the radio, behind the glovebox and up to the fender...my issue is from the antenna base and up, I’m not sure what exactly I need.
Below is a pic of the current hole for the antenna as well as a fuzzy diagram from the owners manual.
I have a random mast, but know I’m missing other parts. is there anywhere that sells a full kit with grommets and nut, etc.

You mentioned you have a "random mast." Do you mean you just got an antenna off of a slavage yard vehicle? If so, did you take all of the parts from the salvage yard vehicle?
AM/FM antennas are pretty universal. You can even buy aftermarket power antennas at the auto parts store.
Unless you are doing a concours restoration I suggest pulling an antenna off of a late 80s to mid 90s truck. Those could be easily adapted to a classic car.

Thanks for your reply!
Sorry, I guess I should have been clear about the mast I have.
It is this one: https://www.opgi.com/cutlass/1964/mo...ories/CH22198/ but there are for sure parts missing, and I'm just not sure what all I need and where to get it.
Not looking to move to power antenna since that's just more wiring to add to my current handful I need to sort out haha.
